Due Date?
So I'm confused. You think I would have figured out this whole due date thing by now but apparently I haven't. I looked it up tonight. If you calculate your due date from your LMP (last known menstrual period) you count 280 days or 40 weeks, but if you calculate your due date based on date of conception you should only count 266 days or 38 weeks. Any body know if this is actually correct? 'Cause if it is I think my due date could be March 4 instead of March 17. I'm pretty sure I counted from guesstimated date of conception instead of LMP but I've still counted 40 weeks on my calendar. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but it would be nice if I were closer to being done!

Of course the baby will come when the baby comes no matter how I counted. Maybe that's why I'm pregnant, I can't count! : p
I'm definitely not all knowing on this topic(or even sorta knowing), but when ever that baby comes I will be one happy auntie!!
According to DJ's mom, who works on the labor and delivery floor, she said its 38 weeks from date of conception. Who knows when babies come, though. They seem to be on their own timetable.
I do believe it is 38 weeks from the date of conception.
Of course, I guess babies just like to show up when they show up. lol.
But it still sounds so much nicer when you can move your due date 2 weeks closer!
Oh my. Well, I will try to be there whenever it is, but that first week of March is insane for me. But then so is the second one, so it doesn't matter, does it? :-)
Agreed with everyone else that babies don't adhere to regular timing... but I might have to reiterate the importance of being able to count, Sister.
Let's say you went to the store with 3 kids and came out with 2, I'd say there was a serious issue with number dyslexia.
But whichever due date I will love him/her so much!! Just like I love you so much (with all your disabilities)!!
